Pride Month 2022 Events in Austin

In Austin, we can’t get enough of Pride! Not only do we celebrate the whole month of June along with the rest of the country, but we also have our very own Pride Celebration in August.
Here’s a list of events we’re looking forward to this Pride month:
Tuesday, June 7
UMLAUF After Dark Pride
UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum
605 Azie Morton Road
5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
After Dark is a bi-monthly event at UMLAUF, and this month’s is all about Pride! Enjoy an evening in the sculpture garden, check out the market featuring queer artists and makers, and vibe to music by Caleb De Caspar. There will also be beer from Austin Beerworks and cocktail’s from Tito’s
Tickets to this event are $12.
Thursday, June 9
Pride’s Fav Comedian: A Queer Comedy Competition
The Creek & The Cave
611 E. 7th Street
6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Get ready to laugh! Happening at The Creek & The Cave comedy club, this competition features 12 of Austin’s funniest folks in the queer community. The competition will be judged by ATX Queer Icons Diamond Dior Davenport, Chris Saldena, Aira Juliet…and a surprise judge!
Tickets are $5 for the Early Bird rate or $15 for General Admission for this 21+ event.
Friday, June 10
Pride Trail Run
Spyglass Trailhead
1601 Spyglass Drive
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Grab your running shoes and get ready to hit the trails with PRIDE because this event is for EVERYONE!
The Pride Trail Run is hosted by Trail Roots member, Lindsay Lege. After the 2-4 mile trail run, stick around afterward for tacos and drinks provided by Tacodeli and give aways from LuLuLemon.
This event is free, but registration beforehand is preferred.
Friday, June 10
“Paris is Burning”
Paramount Theatre
713 Congress Avenue
Doors at 7:00, Film at 7:30
The 1990 documentary film “Paris is Burning” follows the stories of drag queens in New York in the ballroom scene of the late 1980s. This film is considered one of the most important films in Queer history.
Tickets are available for $11 for Adults and free for Film Pass Members.

Rainbow on the Creek
Waterloo Park
500 E. 12th Street
Noon to 9:00 pm
“Rainbow on the Creek” is a free and family friendly event that is a full day of fun! Expect live music, dance workshops, Drag Queen storytime, and so much more.
Vivent Health will also be onsite offering sexual health testing and gender affirming care.

The Majestic Cabaret Ball
Paramount Theatre

Doors at 7:00, Show at 8:00
This event is truly one not to be missed! Get ready to be entertained all night (and maybe even be part of the entertainment yourself!). This ball will be hosted by none other than The Legendary Mother Natalie Lepore (who will also be judging events during the ball!) as well as performances by Austin’s queer faves Diamond Dior Davenport and the Fat Bottom Cabaret.
Tickets for The Majestic Cabaret Ball are $18.

This market shopping event features over 20 vendors that are queer people, artists, and makers from Austin. What better way to celebrate Pride?!

Queer Trivia- Pop Queens Edition

Austin LOVES trivia night, so of course there has to be Queer Trivia during Pride Month! Bring yourself and 3 friends to form your team and get ready to show the world (or at least the bar!) everything you’ve learned.

Razzle Dazzle Upcycle Event & Queer Art Show

Have you ever wanted to open up your closet and reinvent your wardrobe? This Pride Month, we’ve got just the event for you!
This free event offers upcycling workshops for clothing, bags and so much more. If you’re just looking for a few new pieces rather than a whole update, bring in some of your old clothes for the All Gender Clothing Swap that will be going on during the event!

Drag Queen Bingo with Louisiana Purchase
St Elmo Brewery

Bingo & brews hosted by one of Austin’s favorite performers, Louisiana Purchase? That’s right!
Head over to St Elmo’s Brewery on June 15 for Drag Queen Bingo! It’s free to play and there will even be a pop-up market from Little Gay Shop in Austin.

If you’re looking for Pride Month shopping and some amazing art, look no further than the Pride Month Pop-Up Market at Contracommon.
Hosted by Contracommon & Little Gay Shop feauturing LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC creators is also the closing reception for artist Molly Snydor’s exhibition “HYSTERIA”.

Pride Bar Crawl

Who doesn’t love a good bar crawl event? But when it’s a Pride Event that gives back to the community…You know we’ve already purchased our tickets!
The crawl will begin at Fourth & Co on 4th Street and ends at an after party at Oilcan Harry’s.
Ticket prices range between $13.50 and $18.00. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to The Trevor Project, the world’s biggest suicide prevention & crisis intervention non-profit for LGBTQIA+ youth.

If you love plants and Pride, look no further than the Plant Gay Pride Pop-Up Market!
Enjoy browsing through vendor booths full up with plants and plant-related things while also vibing to the live music. If all things green make you work up an appetite, there will also be food trucks onsite from some of your favorite ATX spots.
Feel good about spending your time and money here, because 10% of Plant Gay’s profits will be donated to the Trevor Project, the world’s biggest suicide prevention & crisis intervention non-profit for LGBTQIA+ youth.

This is the inaugural celebration of Colors of Pride, which honors LGBTQIA+ people of color and their allies. Spend the afternoon enjoying live music, a free communal meal, and the pop-up market.
Colors of Pride is free, open to all, accessible, and indoors!

Austin’s June Pride Month celebration culminates at Pride in Local Music, an annual event hosted by the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
You’re going to LOVE the live music line up:
Headliners Brian Justin Crum & Bebe Zahara Benet as well as Caleb De Casper, Bleached Roses, Pelvis Wrestley, and so many other acts!
General admission tickets are $34 ($23 with a student ID) and $129 for VIP tickets.
