With a great selection of beers for the parents and kid friendly food, this will be your new favorite place to take the family for a fun and relaxing day out.

Jester King is about 30 minutes away from Austin, but trust us when we tell you that it’s worth the drive! This brewery sits on a 200 acre ranch complete with a goat farm and a playscape. There are even walking trails around the property, perfect for walking off all the delicious pizza and beer you’re going to enjoy when you visit. 

Doc’s Backyard is everything you’d want for a fun family meal all in one spot! There’s a terraced patio with a large playscape and greenspace with a lot of outdoor seating. The menu features crowd pleasers like nachos, burgers, tacos, and even salads. There’s even a large selection of Texas craft beers on tap as well as a full bar.

When you’re craving margaritas and great Mexican food, load up the kids and head over to Mesa Rosa Mexican Restaurant. This spot sits on 3 acres and has a huge playscape. With all the greenspace and kid friendly areas, this is a great place to enjoy a meal with your family.

There’s nothing quite like Rudy’s Texas Bar-B-Q. The food is delicious and is a very generous portion for the price. The North Austin Rudy’s location has a playscape complete with rock walls and slides. If your crew craves BBQ all day, Rudy’s has great breakfast tacos.

When it’s time for great pizza without a long wait, head on over to Aviator Pizza. This spot has great pizza and quick service, which is a plus when your littles get wiggly while waiting. The playground area is huge and there are plenty of garden tables so the kids can run around. There’s also a decent list of craft beers for the parents to enjoy!

Home Slice Pizza is a crowd pleaser whether you’re feeding a toddler or your grandparents. Their New York style pizza and wings are beloved cuisine around Austin. Servers bring balls of dough to the tables for kids to play with while waiting for the food. When the weather is nice, there’s a play area for kids as well as cornhole for the whole family. Home Slice Pizza also has a full bar complete with craft cocktails, craft beer, and wine.
